Frequently Asked Questions
  1. How does the online library work?
    You need to register on our website - select a price plan and choose a mode of payment to complete the registration process. After that, simply queue up items and sit back and enjoy an uninterrupted flow of toys and books for your li'l one, at your doorstep, week on week.
    Not comfortable online… worry not! You can visit our centre, browse through the items and queue up 15-20 items you like. You still get the same advantages of delivery and pick up.

  2. What are the delivery charges? How quickly do you deliver after I place my order?
    We provide free delivery and collection services. Once you have registered and queued up items you are assigned to a specific weekly cycle depending on the area where you reside. After that you get your chosen items every week on that day. Delivery is provided once a week. However, you are welcome to visit our centre and change toys/books any number of times during the week.
    Items under the ‘Solo’ price plan are delivered within 2 working days of the order being received.

  3. Why do items need to be queued up?
    A queue is your personal list of items that you like. You can simply add all the items that you like to your queue, and put them in your preferential sequence. Doing this helps you in two ways - a. It saves you the time of searching for items you want week on week. b. While items do have multiple copies, some items may not be available. By creating a queue, you ensure uninterrupted deliveries for the items you like. While preparing your delivery, we will send you the first available items in your queue list.

  4. What are modes of payment available?
    You can make payment either by credit / debit card online or by cash on delivery (CoD).

  5. If my child likes the rented toy, can I make an extension?
    Extensions are only possible if other members have not requested the product. Also, please make an extension request over the phone at least 2 days before the expiry of the rental duration.

  6. Is there a deposit for renting?
    There is a small security deposit taken which acts as a safeguard for us in case of damage. The deposit is returned back when the membership is cancelled.

  7. What happens if a toy is damaged?
    We rent out the toys in good condition. Normal wear and tear is acceptable, but in case the toy is rendered damaged, then a fee will be applied depending on the extent of damage. For eg. in case of puzzle, if a piece is missing, the price of the puzzle will be charged but in case a replaceable part goes missing then only the cost of the replaceable part is charged.

  8. How do you ensure that the toys are clean and hygienic?
    We use hot water and antiseptic disinfectant / antibacterial soap to clean the surface of the items to get rid of any harmful bacteria. While all items are thoroughly cleaned by us before being delivered, we request parents to ensure they return the toys in clean condition and avoid children taking them in their mouth to the extent possible.

  9. Can I buy any of the toys I like?
    Nutty's Shop sells a vast range of toys and books (even some that are not part of the library). You can simply place an order by sending a mail to info@nuttynewton.com or call 9748380001/2. Nutty's Shop provides discounts on the retail prices as well as free delivery. Some of the brands offered are Fisher Price, Funskool, Little Genius, Ladybird and many more. Therefore, next time you need a toy or book, or some return gifts; just order it from the comfort of your home. Till such time that our online purchase module is ready, we will be accepting payment only on delivery.
    There could be some items that are part of the library but are not available in Nutty's Shop.

  10. What is the length of the rental period?
    There are two types of pricing plans - Weekly Rental (Nutty 2, Nutty 3 and Nutty Twins) and Solo Rental (Nutty Solo). Items part of the Weekly Rental plan are rented for a week and can be renewed subject to availability. They are delivered every week and collected the following week when new items are delivered. You can change items mid-week as often as you want by coming down to our centre. Items part of Nutty Solo (swings, cycles, slides, cars, etc.) are individually priced and rented for duration of 2-4 weeks. You can click on the specific item to see the rental details. Special requests for shorter or longer duration may be accommodated. For Nutty Solo rentals, just click "Add to Wishlist" and an enquiry form is generated which can be filled and sent to us. We shall revert back to you within 1 working day. Alternately, you can call us on 9748380001/2

  11. Is there a late fee charged in case of delay in returning items?
    There is no late fee charged per se as we provide free delivery and collection services and therefore there is no real reason why there should be delay in returning items. You may renew your items, subject to availability.

  12. How can I see / amend my personal details, password, rental history etc.?
    The email address you provide is the Log-in ID. After you log-in you can see all these details in the 'My Account' section of the website.

  13. How do I renew my account?
    Whenever your account is due for renewal, you shall receive either a call or a mail from our end. You can pay cash at the time of your next delivery. Once our online payment gateway is ready, you can also pay online.
